FAQs
Q: Do I need to wipe/wash off before breastfeeding? There's no need to remove this nipple balm before breastfeeding.
Q: Why is my Nipple Balm gritty or lumpy?
Natural balms made with mango and cocoa butter, like our nipple balm can sometimes have a grainy texture. This is actually called "blooming".
Mango and cocoa butter is made of differing combinations of saturated solid fats and unsaturated liquid fats. These fats each have different melting points. As the butter is exposed to temperature fluctuations, some of the fats melt and then crystallise at different rates which results in a sandy texture. This can happen when balm is exposed to temperature changes (like in a warm room or directly exposed to the elements). We recommend you keep your balm cool and at room temperature to avoid balm blooming.
If this happens to your balm, rest assured that your nipple balm is still effective and safe to use - these crystals usually melt again on skin contact.
Very effective soothing and moisturising
